Hanger Bolt

Hanger bolts are the foundation of bolt on perches and are used in some bolt on toys. For those of you who want to do a little bit of your own perch construction these are your essential hard to find items!

These particular hanger bolts have no smooth gap between the bolt and screw end, allowing you to put the perch or toy flush against the side of the cage and secure tightly!

One hanger bolt included per packet.

Stainless steel is guaranteed safe, is extremely durable and long-lasting and is an excellent material for outdoor use!

Dimensions: 2" long (1" screw, 1" bolt) and 1/4" thread (will fit 1/4" wingnut).

Instructions for use:

Drill a 1" deep hole in the item you want to be attaching the bolt to using a drill bit just under 1/4" thick.
Screw the nut (included with your hanger bolt) on to the bolt end of the hanger bolt.
Using pliers, a ratchet or a wrench, grip the nut to screw the hanger bolt into the pre-drilled hole. Be careful to avoid screwing it in more than half way if your pre-drilled hole is a little deeper than 1".
Detach the nut and voila!

NB. We include a zinc plated nut with any order of hanger bolts that can be used to help attach the bolt. This saves you a trip to the hardware store and also means you don't have to buy a packet of fifty when all you want is one.
