Parrots 2010 - Brisbane, Australia

You should go! Any of you who are members of the Australian Parrot Society will know about the Parrots convention being held in Brisbane July 3rd - 5th, and hopefully you are already going.

For everyone who hasn’t heard or needs a kick up the cloaca - hurry and book your places today! There are 2 full days over the weekend of awesome talks, including some by Suzanne Friedman and Steve Martin who are two of the leading avian behaviouralists/trainers in the world. There's one set of talks focusing on the breeding side of things and another set of talks running concurrently all about keeping parrots as pets

Lunch is provided and in between talks there are trade stands you can visit. Including ours! We're disappointed we won’t be there in person (unforseen circumstances) but friend and avian vet nurse Nikki Arkinstall and knowledgeable enthusiast Hugh Gardiner will be running the My Parrot Shop stand on our behalf. Both these people know our products well and know the individual species of parrots well and have our deepest respect – so don't hesitate to bug them with questions!

New - Jingle Washer and Puzzle Bubble !

This new section showcases products that have been best sellers over the years, as well as being highly recommended by My Parrot Shop. This month it's the Kabob!

The Kabob is a fantastic multi-purpose bird product and stands out from the crowd because of it extreme durability and unique hanging system. Extremely durable (stainless steel and acrylic) and dishwasher-safe, the Kabob makes an excellent feeder system for both indoor and outdoor aviary birds.

The Kabob has been designed to hang from an acrylic ball. You simply poke the metal rod up through the cage ceiling from the inside, and screw the ball on from the outside.

Extremely useful for people out there with mechanically inclined birds who like nothing more than undoing the quick links on their toys - the sphere is a much more challenging hanging system to undo!

Did we mention multi-purpose? The Kabob can be used as a Foraging Toy, a Toy Base, and as a Toy Extender (all explained on our website). The Kabob comes in 3 different lengths and 3 different ball sizes.
